Rotarians and guests will learn about a Rotarian project to provide mental health services in Uganda at a virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.
Speakers will share the activities, describe the eventual impact, speak to incredible collaborations and share their vision. This will include how community mental health workers offer effective mental health services in post-conflict northern Uganda and conducting empowerment skills training for women.
Pavel Reppo, executive director of Finemind, which provides community mental health services in northern Uganda, and longtime Denver Rotarian Diane Messamore, co-chairwoman of Rotarians for Mental Health, will speak.
Virtual visitors using Zoom are welcome.
