Breeah Kinsella, executive director of Celebrating Healthy Communities, will speak at 6 p.m. Tuesday at a virtual meeting of the Rotary Club of Durango.
Celebrating Healthy Communities is a prevention organization that partners with community members to address problem behaviors such as suicide, substance use and impaired driving while building protective factors such as youth-adult partnerships, connectedness and the availability of creative activities.
Kinsella will share the history of prevention work in La Plata County dating back to 1992 with emphasis on tobacco cessation. She will also speak about projects and partnerships in place to reduce impaired driving, substance use and suicide.
