San Juan College Planetarium will present AstroFriday: Tour of Mars at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday via Zoom.
This will be a virtual, live presentation using Zoom, Stellarium and Google Earth to virtually tour the Red Planet. Mars will be viewed as a globe, then the program will descend to the surface to view all the landing sites of successful robotic landing missions.
Next, the night sky will be shown as it would appear from the surface of Mars, observing objects including Martian moons Phobos and Deimos in the planetarium sky. The presentation will be less than one hour long.
To join the meeting, visit zoom.us/j/92906278661 using meeting ID 929 0627 8661.
Any participants who are disruptive or vulgar will be permanently removed from the presentation. Once the presentation begins, a lock will be placed on the meeting and no further entry will be permitted until the start of the next presentation time slot.
