San Juan Regional Medical Center encourages community to make masks

San Juan Regional Medical Center is grateful for the outpouring of support from the community. They have received more than 1,500 cloth mask donations from individuals and groups.

These masks are an important tool in their tool belt to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. The hospital asks the community to continue making these masks.

Donations are welcome at the main entrance of the hospital from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Those who would like to make masks for donation, view an online tutorial at www.sweetredpoppy.com/how-to-sew-a-bias-tape-surgical-face-mask-with-flexible-nose.

For those not adept at sewing, consider making a charitable donation through San Juan Medical Foundation online at www.sanjuanmedicalfoundation.com/donate. Donations should be designated to “SJRMC COVID-19 supplies.”
