The San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Medical Services Department received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Award on Dec. 5 in Farmington, making it the third year to receive the award.
The award represents the EMS department’s ability to rapidly identify suspected heart attack patients and promptly notify the medical center, triggering an early response from hospital personnel.
