Secular progressives are immoral

Just how far into the gutter of immorality will the secular progressive movement try to take this country? It was just over 15 years ago that Jack Kevorkian, Dr. Death, was stripped of his medical license, found guilty of second-degree murder and sentenced to 10-25 years in prison. This was for assisting people to commit suicide – not “death with dignity,” for there is nothing dignified about committing suicide. Before anymore heart-rendering stories or accusations of me being unfeeling, without going into detail, let me say that I have been there. I received the last rights of my faith twice, yet suicide never entered my mind.

This is why the secular progressive movement is opposed to religion and attacks Christmas in particular so vehemently. Religious organizations ask of their followers to be personally responsible for their actions and teach that they will be held accountable for them, whereas the secular progressives feel the exact opposite. Our Founding Fathers based our laws on Judeo-Christian beliefs, self-reliance and personal responsibility. That is what has made the United States the most free, the fairest, most generous and most exceptional country (and by exceptional, I don’t mean the way Greeks think Greece is exceptional) that has ever graced the surface of this planet. We did not get there by doing whatever we like, whenever we wanted to do it.

In addition, what doctor will break his or her Hippocratic oath for your convenience? So while you chastise our state legislators, I thank them for not caving to your desires to commit suicide. Finally, because the secular progressive movement is so shallow and the vast majority of Americans are of strong character and willpower, it is destined to fail.
