‘Shoutout’ to Bayfield deputies

I am writing to send a shoutout to deputies with the Bayfield Marshal’s Office.

I left the Pine River Library at 7 p.m. the other night and I saw a deputy’s car parked in the corner of the parking lot. I looked over to the library park and, I have to confess, my heart sank when I heard shouting and saw a small crowd of deputies and teenagers clustered together.

Upon closer inspection, I realized the deputies and the kids were simply playing an enthusiastic game of basketball together.

In my opinion, this kind of action helps build the relationships our communities so desperately need. Thank you, Bayfield deputies for making time and effort for positive and healthy interactions, such as this. You are making Bayfield a better place to live and to grow up.
