Smith did not deserve lavish party

I have no respect for retired city attorney David Smith. He tried to strong arm me into giving up an easement over my property, so the city could access its property more easily – until I fought back and told the city it was not land-locked. Then Smith left me alone. He didn’t deserve squat!

Thousands of people retire without a lavish party every day. He is not special by any means. The people of Durango should be outraged. This is just another example of government corruption.

But more than likely nothing will be done about it because the majority have lost their principles, which applies to local government as well as state and national.
