San Juan Mountains Association in partnership with San Juan National Forest presents a free Starry Night Snowshoe Tour to Andrews Lake from 5:30 to 8 pm. Feb. 3.
Explore ancient Greek and Native American constellations. There will also be nighttime games that play tricks with our eyes. Bring warm clothing, warm boots, hot drinks, binoculars and a headlamp with a red lens.
Snowshoes will be needed. Kids’ and small adult snowshoes are available for free upon request. Suitable for ages 8 and older. Children carried in packs are allowed. Location is subject to change if the roads are bad.
There is a $10 suggested donation.
