Aspiring actors can’t wait to see their name up in lights and their picture on the big screen. For seventh-grade Mountain Middle School student Pearce Fazekas, also known by his stage name Pearce Joza, his opportunity came sooner rather than later.
Fazekas recently finished a commercial for Hewlett-Packard’s new Fortify on Demand program: Fortify on Demand – It’s Chaos Out There! He represents one of the mobile vulnerabilities HP’s new program is advertising protection from.
“It’s kind of a funny story. ... (Pearce and I) both see Libby McManus for our hair, and she found out about a photo shoot (for advertisements). She knew that Pearce wanted to act outside of Durango, so she encouraged us to send in some head shots to GB Films,” said Fazekas’ mother, Nancy Heleno.
McManus helped style his hair for some head shots, which Heleno then sent to GB Films, a company that produces advertisements in California.
“Never in my wildest imagination did I think they would call in a kid from Durango,” Heleno said.
