Stores: Ease up on holiday promotion

I know there are bigger problems in our community and our world, but I still felt the need to write. I must ask all the supermarkets/department stores to please not inundate us with holiday decorations, candy and other bric-a-brac two months in advance! It really takes the excitement out of the various days. Don’t you get it? If you see a pumpkin, ghost, etc., for two months and it becomes part of the scenery, it no longer has special meaning.

Please don’t spoil the excitement by shoving it down our throats before summer has even ended. Don’t be in such a rush.
