Substance abuse prevention sessions will be held Oct. 2

The Colorado Office of Behavioral Health recently contracted with the Colorado Health Institute to offer substance abuse prevention programs to communities.

Two sessions will be offered Monday, Oct. 2, in Durango:

An expert focus group for substance abuse professionals will be offered from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave. Participants will discuss prevention program funding and how to effectively offer substance abuse prevention services to community members.A community conversation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Animas Room at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave. People who have experience with substance abuse or are interested in prevention and support programs are encouraged to attend.To register, email snaps@coloradohealthinstitute.org.
