I am writing to voice my support for Erica Brown, Andrea Parmenter and Rick Petersen for 9-R School Board.
The past two years have been the most challenging in history for our volunteer school boards, and Andrea Parmenter and Erika Brown have risen to the challenges by demonstrating thoughtful leadership and steadfast commitment to the 9-R mission. Both have constantly reached out for parent, teacher and health professional feedback through the pandemic to make the best decisions possible for our kids. Their leadership kept Durango students safely in the classroom the majority of last year when most Colorado students were at home.
All of these candidates are invested in the future of 9-R students and have children of their own in 9-R schools. They are well-educated candidates who stand on the side of diplomacy, reason, science and equitable public education for all. They are pro-teacher and pro-community. Vote Erika Brown, Andrea Parmenter and Rick Petersen for 9-R School Board.
