The original series “Godless” is streaming on Netflix and features a familiar Durango sight in its first episode: the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
The seven-episode television drama was created by Scott Frank for Netflix and features “Downton Abbey” alum Michelle Dockery and actor Jeff Daniels.
Production began in September 2016 in Santa Fe, and the program debuted Nov. 22, 2017. During production, footage was shot at locations in Southwest Colorado and northern New Mexico.
The Four Corners Film Office helped with the production and made connections with local production assistants to allow filming in the region.
