Talk about town: Fort Lewis College to host Easter egg fun Saturday

The annual Easter egg scramble will be held at 9:45 a.m. Saturday on the Smith Sports Complex fields at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.

Durango Parks and Recreation announced that its annual Easter egg scramble will be held Saturday on the Smith Sports Complex fields at Fort Lewis College, a new location from previous years.

Kids and their parents will meet at 9:45 a.m. on the fields. Egg fetchers, from toddlers to 8-year-olds, will be divided into age groups before the games begin.

The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and kick off the scramble for all age divisions. Photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny will be available.

The Parks and Recreation Department recommends participants bring a festive Easter egg basket to carry their goodies.

The event is sponsored by Four Corners Broadcasting and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Pets are not allowed at the event, which is free and open to all.
