This will be my final year as coach for the Bayfield School District. It has been a great honor over the past 30 years to serve the players, coaching staffs, schools and communities of the four corners region in my role as basketball coach and educator.
As I retire from coaching, I walk away with many wonderful memories and experiences. I want to thank the many quality individuals who assisted and supported me in the worthy endeavor together to make a difference in the lives of young people through the great sport of basketball.
In my nine years of coaching for Bayfield, we accomplished some high levels of success due to the quality of players, coaches, school and community members I had the good fortune to work with. I will always be grateful for the historic journey this year and the very special moments involved. I leave contented in the effort I gave to the honorable profession of coaching, yet humbly submit I gained as much, if not more, from others as I ever gave to them.
