I would like to thank all my friends, family and neighbors who attended my 95th birthday party. You all made it a very special day for me.

Know Your Dough grateful for its volunteers

Know Your Dough, a Durango nonprofit that provides financial literacy programs tailored to the needs of local youth and young adults, would like to thank volunteers Laurel Waller, Allison Aichele, April Bates and Brian Beal for teaching The Money Game program at Bayfield Middle School, and Tami Joslin, Marian Horton and Alan Markert for their time and dedication teaching fourth-grade students at Bayfield Elementary School about financial literacy. We’d also like to thank fourth-grade teachers Brittany Nipert, Emily Abbott and Becky Malecki for hosting the Feed the Pig program.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve local youth.

Friends of the Arts thankful for event support

Durango Friends of the Arts members would like to thank Leela Gill and Dana Wilson and committee members Rani Holt and Susan Welty for the many hours they spent preparing for the “Accessorize Me” sale in March. Thanks to all who donated and spent hours working at the event. All proceeds benefit the Durango Friends of the Arts grants program. Also, an added bonus, we all came home with some unique, gently-used accessories for our wardrobes.
