The buck should stop with LeBlanc

The city of Durango’s attempt to ban tubers from Oxbow Park is way off the mark. The issue is an enforcement problem, not an access issue. This is just another example of the city’s reactionary responses to problems related to upkeep of its assets.

Other examples include: the bench on the corner of Eighth and Main. After a homeless guy set up camp there every day, the city got rid of the bench. At the Transit Center, there is no door on the stall in the men’s room – presumably an effort to keep homeless people moving on. And the water dock closing down because someone stole quarters from it.

These are just a few examples of how the city is mismanaging its assets, and according to “the buck stops here” theory, Ron LeBlanc should be fired. Who’s with me?
