The Payroll Department will accept applications for their 10.4.2 grant until April 10.
The grant was established as a source of funding for the nonprofit sector in La Plata County, and allows two organizations that support education, environment and human services to receive up to $10,000 each. New or recently-launched programs are preferred.
The 2016 grant recipients were Trails 2000 and Alternative Horizons.
The Payroll Department and the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado will manage the review and selection process, to occur after the application deadline.
