This gentleman is my house-less hero

Last Saturday, my backpack was stolen from me. Later that morning, a gentleman, Dean, returned it to me.

He is a self-identified “veteran who is not homeless, just without a house.” Not only was he able to return most of what had been taken from me by someone else, but he found the rest of my items a few days later. He turned them in to the Durango police, who were then able to bring them back to me.

Through the whole ordeal, I lost a little of my sense of security, but my sense of community has hugely increased!

Thank you to my house-less hero!

Please know there are folks of all situations out there still trying to do good. I hope I can pay the good deed forward.
