La Plata County Thrive! Living Wage Coalition on March 1 named three new Certified Living Wage Employers: Absolute Physical Therapy and Wellness, Axis Health System and Durango Natural Foods.
To qualify for the program, La Plata County employers must pay employees a living wage or develop and submit a plan to reach that goal. The current living-wage rate qualification for the employer recognition program is $13.31 per hour.
Selected businesses also gave raises to 30 employees.
