Trump may be in cahoots with Clintons

Admit it. You like a good conspiracy: the crash at Roswell (it happened; I know people), Area 51 or JFK’s assassination. They pique our imagination, fear and curiosity. I’ll start one here. Donald Trump is in collusion with the Clintons to throw the election to Hillary.

My theory goes like this: Trump is actually a liberal. He and the Clintons got together and decided that even the more rational Republican candidates (by comparison) were unacceptable to run this country. Trump would run as a divisive, obnoxious racist possibly as a third party candidate to divide the vote and thereby give the presidency to whomever the Democratic nominee is. The Dems could nominate a typewriter and it would crush a divided GOP.

Consider Trump’s past positions and the fact that he invited the Clintons to his wedding. He thinks affirmative action is OK. He would fund Planned Parenthood. He supports a progressive income tax. He doesn’t believe you should be able to fire someone for being gay. He doesn’t want to cut Social Security or Medicare. He supports a ban on assault weapons. Of course, he’s flip-flopped recently like they all do.

The problem for the reasonable Republicans out there (I heard they exist, like bigfoot) is that the hate you hear spewing from conservative radio, Fox News and parts of the interweb has created a monster that appeals mainly to the fearful, disenfranchised and angry base. It’s almost as if Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly had a baby together and they named their hate child Donald Trump. Rush, of course, would be the mommy.

If it weren’t for 30 percent of the GOP supporting Trump, the establishment wouldn’t have this impending disaster to deal with. You guys created this monster and now he’s running amok.

Obviously, I’m a liberal and loving every minute of this. The real problem with Trump is that he’s doing real damage. His anti-Muslim rhetoric plays right into ISIS’ hands. They want a religious war. My theory may be wrong, but the outcome looks to be the same: We get Hillary.
