In March of 2013 Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, introduced legislation to fix Social Security. Read about it and ask Sens. Michael Bennet and Mark dall to join Harkin in making Social Security secure far into the future by raising the cap on contributions, changing the cost of living increase and reforming the benefit formula. The government has gone back to work, suggest that they actually do some now before the next “crisis” comes. This can be done, Social Security is not broken yet and the way to fix it is not to make it less secure, cut it and chain it.
