The Durango branch of the American Association of University Women will hold its annual fall luncheon Oct. 7 in the ballroom at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

State Rep. Barbara McLachlan, who serves on the Legislature’s Education Committee, will speak about education in Colorado.
A fundraiser will be held during the luncheon to provide scholarships for the annual National Conference of College Women Student Leaders at University of Maryland. Fort Lewis College students who attended last year’s conference will share their experiences.
Cost is $45 for general admission and $20 for students.
