Thank you, Kroegers Ace Hardware, for presenting VFW Post 4031 with a $2,000 check on July 28. Kroegers’ customers were invited to “Round up” at checkout over the 4th of July holiday weekend. The Post is honored to have been chosen as the July 2023 ROUND UP recipient.

This amazing $2,000 donation from Kroegers Ace Hardware is just one example of how the store assists local veterans. Kroegers donates hundreds of American flags each year that are placed on veterans’ graves at Greenmount Cemetery on Memorial Day. They allow us to stand outside their store entrance to distribute Buddy Poppies. Kroegers offers a 10% military discount on every purchase a veteran makes, and the store has been a long time participant in the Remember Everyone Deployed (RED) Shirt initiative.
