The proposed county land-use code does not adequately protect the property rights of county citizens and is in direct violation of the Colorado Constitution.
Our local citizens activist group – Free Counties (freecounties.com) – has presented the county commissioners with a resolution that is grounded in the rule of law and protects property. It was presented as a resolution for now, to protect citizens during the county’s revision project, then to be finalized as the preamble in the land-use code.
