Durango Wild West Talent would like to thank all of the people who made the Durango Heritage Weekend a success.
First, a big shout-out to all of the local talent who performed and helped out over the weekend and to those who came from California, Georgia and South Carolina. Thanks to the Bayfield Belles, who always bring high energy to any event; the Peace Commission; The Victorian Society; Missouri Muleskinners and the acrobats who performed. Thanks to the steering committee for the meetings and planning that went into the event, and to my business partner Sherry Plowman for her hard work.
Thanks to the vendors and educators for their time and attendance.
A thank you to Linda Baker, Edward Box III and the Southern Ute for their support and presence.
Special thanks to our sponsors who made it all possible: The Strater Hotel, Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Old Colorado Vintage Clothing, Parts Unknown, Scully, Overland, Outdoorsy, Hockett Films, Durango Aerial, Luminous Media Arts, Fired Up Pizza and Durango Coffee Co. We support our sponsors.
Thanks to Durango Police Department and Chief Brammer, who were present during the gunfights to keep things safe, and the Visitors’ Bureau for its support.
And finally, thanks to everyone who attended. We’ll do it again next April.
