Women’s Resource Center grateful to community and sponsors

We had an incredible turnout of teams and participants this year at the 16th annual Men Who Grill supporting the Women’s Resource Center’s at Buckley Park. We raised over $18,000 to support women and girls in La Plata County.

Steamworks Brewing provided the beer to quench our thirst, and the Kirk James Blues Band provided a nice blend of music.

Gratitude for teams this year: 99X Radio, Honeyville and Bank of Colorado who won People’s Choice Award; Backcountry Experience; Manna, which won Judge’s Choice Award; Atmos Energy; Black Bear Carpet Cleaning; Auto Care Colorado/Napa Auto Center; Durango Cannabis Co.; VFW Post 4031; Armadillo Storage; and Reynolds, Ash & Associates.

Our heartfelt thank you to our sponsors! Our presenting sponsor Bank of Colorado, Gold sponsors Advanced Concrete Solutions, Allison Ragsdale Photography and AGM Radio 99X; Silver sponsors: Steamworks Brewing, Re/Max Pinnacle and The Durango Herald; Bronze sponsors: Southwest Appliance, LPEA, Title Durango, Sante Durango, Durango Party Rental, The Luthy McCallum Group and BCIMedia; and Friends sponsors: El Rancho Tavern, Harley-Davidson and Hydration Station.

A shout out goes to our 2019 judges: Kicki Searfus, Karen Evans, Lynn Kitch and Deb Uroda; to our donation contributors, Ron Tyner, John Owens and Durango Joe’s. A special thanks to the CircBus, Durango Balloon Co., the Forest Service and Mountain Studies for providing the kids activities, and Thrive Chiropractic for the thermos donations.

Thank you, Lindsay Mattison, for the grill donations, city of Durango, Bob’s Johns and all of our volunteers.

Sincerely,

Women’s Resource Center
