I find it perplexing, the large number of people who are proponents of fluoridation.
Did you know that most modernized nations ban fluoride treatment to their drinking water? Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Norway and the Netherlands all refuse it.
If you’re concerned about the teeth of children, be aware of the World Health Organization’s data from 1970-2010 which shows that both non-fluoridated and fluoridated countries’ tooth decay rates for 12-year-olds have declined at the same rate.
Why do so many countries refuse to add fluoride to their drinking water? Because sodium fluoride (the fluoride treatment used in most municipalities like Durango) is a waste product of the phosphate fertilizer industry and it is heavily contaminated with toxins and heavy metals. These substances accumulate in human beings and are all carcinogens. It is used as a pesticide and herbicide, to refine gasoline, to make fluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons for air-conditioning, to manufacture computer screens and plastics.
Would you believe the intake of fluorides has never been tested for safety in humans? Children and adults who use fluoride toothpastes, mouthwashes, gels, and supplements are far exceeding the recommended intake! Have you read the warnings on the labels of these items? It says to call the Poison Control Center if ingested, and our governments are adding it to our drinking water!
Dr. J. William Hirzy, an EPA scientist, says “if the stuff gets into the air, it’s a pollutant; if it gets into the river, it’s a pollutant; if it gets into a lake, it is a pollutant; if it gets into our drinking water, it’s not. That’s amazing!”
I have a novel idea. Stop eating so much sugar! This is the very cause of cavities in the first place. The 60-year history of fluoridation in U.S. cities is an interesting one. Executive action took over, and communities had no idea what was happening.
Knowledge is power; you now have the ability to make your voice heard. Vote out fluoride, and join the thousands of communities around the world who know the truth about its harmful effects.
