Why does the Herald print letters like the one from Richard Messier? (“Democrats are probably the new Nazis,” Oct. 19.) His letter is offensive to Jewish people. It serves no purpose and certainly doesn’t invite constructive dialogue.
We are sick and tired of people like Messier using Nazi comparisons. And those of us who are thoughtful, left-of-center, educated folks are not Nazis. My relatives gased in the Holocaust deserve more respect and decency from the Herald. Please stop printing offensive letters that smear more than half of Americans and offend an entire religion.
