Not only is it disappointing to resort to our devices in order to “read” the morning paper three days a week, but the four print editions contain substantially less content than when you were able to afford to print seven editions each week.
Has the news dried up along with your ink?
The first section contains merely five pages of readable matter, plus an unattractive full-page ad. On Mondays, the second section contains one page of reading material, the comics and nothing else.
Oh, yes, Dear Abby is on the back as usual, along with the “new” weather box that also contains substantially less information than it used to. Many of your readers are transplants to Durango who travel throughout the country and have family elsewhere. The national weather map was useful.
Maybe it’s time for you to throw in the towel, because the news has disappeared and there is little to take its place.
My final beef, for the moment, is that the online content is updated rarely and the one or two newer items appear in the next day’s print edition. By then, I’ve read it.
Have you retired the newsroom?
