I write this letter on behalf of Melissa Youssef, who is running for Durango City Council.
I worked with Melissa for three years while serving on the Animas High School Board of Directors. This was during her tenure as president of the board.
Melissa is an outstanding, patient and experienced leader. She is equally capable at building a consensus and making tough decisions, while always standing up for what she believes.
Her experience in education leadership was invaluable throughout her tenure. She was both a colleague and a mentor to me, and I look forward to working with her again someday.
I’m voting for Melissa. I know that she will represent and serve the people of our community.
