In response to the story about Sheriff Duke Schirard (Herald, Oct. 5), my name is James “Jardi” Schirard, my father and mother Lucy Moughton were married for 20 years then divorced. During that time living with my father and mother, I never once saw my father lay a hand on my mother in anger. If Geary Parsons said he came to our house on any law enforcement calls and witnessed my mother having blackened eyes, he is lying! This lie about my father and mother has never been told before. Eight years ago, it was about my stepmother, Lucia Schirard. How low will these people go? This is just plain slimy!
