For the past month, we have had difficulty with our paper delivery service.
Our last carrier was great, on time and never missed a day. Apparently, he asked for a week vacation and the Herald refused unless he found coverage. His boss refused, and so our carrier quit after several years of devoted delivery.
And now we have been without coverage for a lot longer than the week he would have been gone. (His boss should have been personally required to deliver papers herself since she apparently thought he could be easily replaced. Dumb move.)
We did not get a paper Sunday or today, and we were told it would be credited to our account. Big deal – we want a paper.
For about a week, we could read the online edition, but then that was stopped, too. I have come to realize that no one at the Herald really gives a hoot about the customers, and if there were any other paper in town, I would gladly switch.
We have been loyal customers for as long as I can remember and then some (our floors were originally insulated with papers from the 1920s).
Get your act together, Herald, and take care of us!
