Chris Bettin has the experience, commitment, and strength of character we seek in our community leaders. It is with pleasure that I write my support for Chris Bettin for Durango City Council.
On paper, Chris puts a check-mark in all the right boxes: Long-time resident of Durango with a history of community service and volunteerism, entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen, and a thorough familiarity with all the important challenges and opportunities facing our city.
In my opinion, more important than any one stance on a campaign issue, is the true leadership character of our elected officials. Now more than ever we need leaders that make knowledgeable decisions based on facts and evidence.
We need leaders that can provide creative and well-thought-out suggestions in a constructive and respectful tone. I know for certain that Chris will bring the highest level of professionalism and respect to this position.
