St. Francis Wildlife Rehabilitation wishes to thank Ms. Kirby’s sixth-grade class at Escalante Middle School for the amazing effort they put forth in the production of a program and fundraiser for us.
Dooley (a peregrine falcon deemed unreleasable because of injuries suffered as young bird), who is now an education bird for the St. Francis Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and I had the privilege of presenting a program for this class in September of last year.
They decided to reciprocate by creating a fundraiser for us by creating and selling cards and posters depicting various aspects of the peregrines’ natural history, not only in words, but in artwork as well. The research necessary just to accomplish this project in addition to their other schoolwork is beyond commendable.
Thank you again for thoughtfulness, kindness and appreciation for our wildlife.
