There is an ugliness afloat wherever you turn across the country and it is moving into La Plata County.
We read in the Herald such statements as approving of poison arrows been shot: “Gwen Lachelt is the ‘queen of outside, dark money,’ and the claim that a far away billionaire is flooding the county with cash to stop the recall election attempt.
Gwen Lachelt is a thoughtful, responsible commissioner representing all of the county, but aware of her mandate to work for fair treatment of those impacted by drilling practices, toxic pollution and the careless use of power.
Let’s stop the national ugliness from invading us further.
