Conquer the Springs Adventure Race will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 17 at Turkey Springs Trail Head, Piedra Road, Pagosa Springs.
The race will feature two to eight hours of racing with two separate races: a beginners and kid-friendly sprint race that consists of hiking, biking and paddling, and a six- to eight-hour race that will consist of hiking, biking, paddling and orienteering.
In the Sprint Race, teams of two or three will run, bike, paddle and face team challenges. The course is beginner-friendly and racers will need to have a boat, kayak or paddleboard, bike, helmet and a hydration pack.The race is capped at 30 teams.
In the Adventure Race, teams of two or four will receive trail maps and most checkpoints at the start of the race. The course includes paddling, mountain biking on jeep trails and single track and special challenges.The race is capped at 20 teams.
