A very mediocre man, Joe Biden, has tentatively won the U.S. presidential election, not because of his platforms or positions, polls tell us, but because enough of the public was daily exposed to negative press against Trump from the putative “journalists” of the liberal media. Never has such a relentless, negative campaign been run against any previous president.
The Durango Herald was part of the press that ran no positive news for Trump and which ran negative opinion press against him.
The U.S. press in general, instead of being an objective and neutral broker of the news, has become, for a number of decades prior to Trump, a “player” in elections, attempting to support Democratic Party candidates and to undercut Republican presidents.
Naturally, the press can do what it wants, thanks to the First Amendment, but what the press can no longer do is represent itself as a neutral spokesman that is reporting the facts for the good of the American people.
The press is now largely a crowd of leftist partisans who have been trained in our largely leftist academic institutes and who rejected objectivity and professionalism. The press needs to own up to its current position: It put itself there.
