I was watching “Mysteries at the Museum” recently and they had a story about NASA astronaut Stuart Roosa, born in Durango, and his “Moon trees.”
I was curious enough to check where they were planted and discovered that though a half-moon tree was planted at Mr. Roosa’s grave in Arlington, there were none at all in Colorado. I wondered why Durango hadn’t tried to get one or at the least a half-moon tree to honor their own Apollo 14 astronaut.
