The Animas Valley Grange is showing two films on Feb. 24 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. free to the public.

“Unbroken Ground,” a 25-minute film by Patagonia Provisions, explains the role food will play in efforts to solve environmental crises. It explores four areas of agriculture that aim to change our relationship to the land and oceans.

“The Greenhorns,” a 40-minute film written and directed by Severine von Tscharner Fleming, explores the lives of America’s young farming community – its spirit, practices, and needs. It is the filmmaker’s hope that by broadcasting the stories and voices of young farmers, the film can build the case for those considering a career in agriculture.

The Animas Valley Grange is located at 7271 County Road 203. For more information, call 385-5298.
