I’m writing to encourage readers to look for their La Plata Electric Association ballots coming in the mail around April 17.
We are lucky to live in an area served by an electric cooperative with a board we elect with local control.
I’m supporting the progressive block of Rachel Landis, Guinn Unger and Kim Martin.
LPEA can make choices about buying local, green energy and these candidates will support that. Installation of solar in our service area will create jobs here.
I agree with former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who put emphasis on the fact that pollution kills 200,000 Americans per year; California’s booming economy shows we can go green and thrive!
Look for your ballot and be sure to return your vote for Rachel, Guinn or Kim.
