What’s all the fuss about keeping Lake Nighthorse quiet (Herald, March 19)? The only noise up there six years after the lake was filled and, coincidentally, six years after I retired, is the whisper of gentle waves washing a deserted shore and the whistling wind coming from stakeholder boardrooms.
It seems some folks are more intent on maintaining their credentials with the green community than allowing the people, we the people, the taxpayers who advocated for its construction, in the face of all odds, to finally enjoy a little fishing.
At least to the north, a small jog is beautiful in Greenmount Cemetery which welcomes me with open arms. When I get there, I am comforted to know that Lake Nighthorse will still be as quiet as a graveyard.
