I have been a proud resident of La Plata County since 1980. The first house I had built employed some interesting solar assistance that was well before its time.
However, the technology has certainly improved and is a key part of our present home that we built in 1995. We had a local company install solar panels on our home in 2011.
In the time between 1980 and 2011, not only has the technology improved, but the attitude and assistance of La Plata Electric Association has improved.
With the assistance of LPEA, our challenge, along with the installer’s challenge, was greatly reduced. I am a firm believer in renewable energy and will continue to support its expansion with LPEA as well as other entities like Tri-State.
I will be casting my vote in the LPEA election for Joe Wheeling. He has shown excellent business ability and has been active in guiding Tri-State to be more renewable-friendly.
His business background and knowledge of the electrical distributing business is superb.
He also has been a part of this community for many years.
Please support Joe Wheeling in his bid for re-election to the LPEA board.
