Why is there no fast internet at Lightner?

We are supposed to live in a modern society in America, yet, we can’t get fast internet out at Lightner Creek.

I have contacted the only place that is supposed to provide internet to Lightner Creek, CenturyLink, only to have them tell me they can’t give our area internet service.

It is like living on the back side of the moon at Lightner Creek. That is weird since the Durango city limit is literally a few hundred feet from us with the annexation of Twin Buttes.

We aren’t like living miles from town either. Try about three miles from downtown Durango.

So why can’t our area have fast internet or any internet for that matter? Even Silverton has fast fiber optic internet.

African villages have the internet. What is going on?

Can’t some company bring fast internet out to Lightner Creek to at least bring us up to today?
