The February 9 Durango Herald editorial was a great example of why the media is losing it’s credibility. In supporting the call for marches, protests and boycotts, the Herald fails to point out the downside of these actions.
For instance, the limousine that was burned to the ground by “protesters” was owned by Muhammed Ashraf. Due to a clause in his insurance coverage denying coverage for “riots, insurrections and acts of war,” the loss of the limo was not covered. Comparing the National Park Service cost of cleanup after the Woman’s March and the Pro Life March tells me that the participants in the Woman’s March in D.C. don’t give a rodent’s rear on environmental issues, based on the mess they left behind.
How much will the tuition at UC Berkley go up to cover the damage to campus buildings caused by rioters protesting a gay conservative author and reporter?
Does the writer of this editorial really believe that boycotting Ivanka Trump’s clothing line won’t have an effect on the people that actually get paid to produce those branded goods? Progressives, especially those in the media need to get a reality check.
Finally, is it a coincidence that the 92 million that didn’t vote is the same number of people that dropped out of the job market during the Obama administration?
