I would like to alert the public to be alert and aware of local hotel thefts. At this time of year when many are traveling to visit family and may be staying at local hotels, please, be on alert. I recently came to Durango to have my car serviced and to do some Christmas shopping and decided to stay at a local motel.
When I returned home and unpacked, I discovered that personal items and gifts I had bought were missing. If you have family visiting, please, advise them to be on alert, and use hotel safes whenever possible.
