I’ve known Chris Bettin both personally and professionally for years, and was delighted when he decided to run for City Council.
Chris’ views on creating affordable housing, investing in our town’s infrastructure along with measured growth and development are all public record.
But that’s only part of the equation; Durango is so unique, so politically diverse, that the interests of our residents seem, more often than not, wholly incompatible. Chris understands the issues being debated in this race, the consequences of which will determine whether our small paradise will remain just that, even in light of a growing population.
I would urge those of you who may not know Chris to give him a call, stop him on the street, share your concerns and ideas. He’s bright, engaging, and above all else he is passionate about our wonderful, quirky, town.
