A free introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Studio 10 of the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave.
Mindfulness practice can support people in cultivating improved health, focused attention and peace of mind. Scientific studies show the practice can help people cope more effectively with a wide range of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, heart disease, cancer, multiple sclerosis and chronic pain conditions.
Janet Curry, licensed mental health counselor and certified MBSR provider, will lead the session.
