The Ignacio High School volleyball team showed resiliency in a 3-1 win over Mancos on Thursday.
The Bobcats dropped the first set before coming back to win in four, and the fourth set was a decisive victory.
Set scores weren’t immediately available.
“First set we dropped against mancos, with our transition free balls we made a lot of mistakes,” said IHS head coach Thad Cano in a phone interview with The Durango Herald on Thursday. “The girls were extremely focused. “They’re like ‘O.K.,’ no problem.’ We talked in the huddle to say, this is on us, we are making all these little mistakes that’s getting them points.”
IHS improved to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 in San Juan Basin League play.
They’ll go for win No. 3 on Saturday at Ridgway.
